Fastjet Obtains Global Aviation Safety Registration in Zimbabwe
Fastjet joins approximately 445 airlines currently listed on the IOSA registry.
HARARE, Zimbabwe - Fastjet airline has received approval for its International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit registration, marking its compliance with global aviation safety standards, writes Wallace Mawire.
Zimbabwe's Transport Ministry Permanent Secretary confirmed the registration on behalf of Minister Felix Mhona.
The certification verifies the airline's adherence to international operational and safety protocols.
"Fastjet has internalised this aspiration and is ready to offer our travelling public an unparalleled travel experience," Mhona said in a statement.
The IOSA certification system evaluates airlines' operational management and control systems.

The ministry aims to establish Zimbabwe as a regional transportation hub by 2030, focusing on developing integrated infrastructure networks for goods and passenger services.
Officials said the government is working with airlines and aviation operators to achieve these development goals through sustainable transport infrastructure and secure movement of goods and services.
