Every Human Being Matters
Being disabled does not mean one is not human enough, the stereotypes must die and we must all enjoy the life without limitations.

Mahalapye, Botswana-This Human Rights Day marks the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, writes Dr Paula O.M.Otukile.
What does human rights mean to you individually?
To me the Justice issue must apply in all aspects of our lives not just a small skeletal area of our society. The maid and the shepherd must have justice and fairness if not equality at the place of work, should it be at the house of their boss or shopping centre.
Gone are the days that a helper at home can be treated as a servant without monthly payment because they eat and sleep in the master’s house, labor laws must always be applied.
The law must extend to the citizens driving along the A1 or A3 roads, every human being got the right to life, driving in outmost skinny tarred road in a truck infested traffic means higher chances of loss of life and it is important for our roads to be fixed, to maintain or boost drivers life expectancy.
Human rights must also apply to small girls who cannot defend themselves and are being trafficked and sold in search of means to live, prostitution is there in our society and we must not shun away from talking about it whether direct or indirect, the right to health is very important for all, even to the reckless or the careless people, safe sex awareness campaigns must be highly emphasized at Dukwi village, where truck packs, Nata, Maun, kasane, and all over the world where the cross border activities happens a lot.
Our workplaces must be the peace and bread earning environment not sexual abuse or oppression of women areas, schools must be safe, on this day we think about the many young and the old that get oppressed for simply being feminine. This must stop and Gbv must be highly discouraged at all cost.
It is an opportunity to rejuvenate the universal declaration, demonstrate how it can meet the needs of our time and advance its promise of freedom, equality, and justice for all.
The boy child must also be fitted perfectly as we emancipate the girl child, the margin is growing and if we sideline the boy child he becomes angry and the circle of abuse returns.
Girl education must be emphasized and done a lot in Africa and all over the world. We must remember all people are equal and the empowerment of a girl is empowerment of the nation.
The Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework #KMGBF is a pledge to create a world where people live in harmony with nature, respecting everyone's dignity, & protecting the inherent rights of individuals & peoples.
Currently the Palestine and Israeli war is on the mouths of many, but we must all try to come up with reasonable solutions to approach the powers in being, as war destroy peace and violate human rights.
Mental health is a basic human right too, this means the right to be protect to sustain good mental health, good quality care.
The LGBT community must be included in all aspects of society regardless of sexual orientation as they are humans too. Some things are not our culture as Africans but we must go back to drawing board and know that a human right is important too. Let’s find ways to accept those doing things differently as we adjusted to modern technology and other things.
The deaf must also be remembered as they are people and human too, sign language is vital for them to thrive, meaning we must all strive to learn sign language for the same linguistic reasons we learnt other languages, the blind cannot thrive academically without braille, so this day we must close the gap between linguistic shortcomings and ensure that way forward we do better.
Being disabled does not mean one is not human enough, the stereotypes must die and we must all enjoy the life without limitations.
