MZUZU, Malawi-The Speaker of the National Assembly, Gotani Hara, and many dignitaries have extolled the accomplishments of the late Goodall Gondwe, affirming that his legacy will forever endure, write Tionge Hara and Winston Mwale.
"He was a beacon of wisdom, a repository of knowledge, and a man true to his promises," Hara remarked during Gondwe’s funeral church service in Mzuzu on Sunday.

 "His memory will eternally resonate," Hara added.
Hara said Gondwe's commitment knew no borders, serving both on the international stage and within the local context with unwavering dedication.
The Minister of Local Government, Unity, and Culture, Richard Chimwendo Banda, echoed these sentiments, highlighting Gondwe's pan-Malawi and international influence.
"A selfless heart dedicated to Malawi's betterment," Chimwendo remarked. Gondwe's choice to serve his homeland stands testament to his commitment.
On his part, DPP’s National Treasurer-General-cum-Member of Parliament for Rumphi North, Jappie Mhango, noted Gondwe's extraordinary contributions, foreseeing timeless celebration.
William Tembo, General Secretary of the Synod of Livingstonia, expressed gratitude for the government's homage to Goodall Gondwe within the Church.
He said, “This embodies integrity, a gesture not taken lightly by the synod."
Additionally, Tembo applauded lawmaker Mhango for his steadfast support until Gondwe's final moments.
The casket bearing Gondwe's remains embarks on its solemn journey to his ancestral village, Enukweni.
A poignant return to the church he single-handedly erected awaits, echoing his enduring legacy.
