Dowa North East Constituents Laud MP Sam Kawale for Remarkable Transformation
One of the most notable achievements credited to Kawale is the transformation of Chibazi, a once-sleepy village, into a thriving mini-town.
DOWA, Malawi — Constituents in Dowa North Eastare showering praise on their Member of Parliament, Sam Kawale, for his remarkable efforts in transforming the area, turning it into a shining example of development and progress, writes Christopher Jimu.
Despite his youthful appearance, Kawale, who also serves as the current Minister of Agriculture, has played a pivotal role in numerous significant developments across the constituency.
One of the most notable achievements credited to Kawale is the transformation of Chibazi, a once-sleepy village, into a thriving mini-town.
Residents have experienced a remarkable improvement in their quality of life, thanks to his initiatives.
Livines Jonas, a trader at Chibazi Market, expressed his gratitude, saying, "There was a time when we were thinking that we would never see electricity here, but now the story is different. Solar-powered energy is everywhere, and our schools, churches, and homes are beautiful, and all the bridges are in very good condition. Our MP is very committed, and we are happy that we have Sam as our MP."
Victor Mwandama, a fish vendor at Chibazi Market, highlighted Kawale's contribution to youth activities.
He explained that the MP had been instrumental in supporting local football and netball teams, providing them with uniforms and equipment.
This support has kept many young individuals away from harmful behaviours such as alcohol and drug abuse.
"There are football trophies that we are fighting for in this area sponsored by our MP, and many young men and women are taking part. This is making them busy, and they have no time to engage in immoral habits," said Mwandama.
Josias Kabwabwa, a 73-year-old retired teacher, praised Kawale for his compassion and dedication to helping the less privileged members of the community.
Kabwabwa shared that the MP regularly provided him with groceries and other necessities, greatly improving his quality of life.
"He is a gentleman, and we love him so much here in Chibazi. My life would not be like this if it were not for Sam, and God must bless him richly," said Kabwabwa.
In an interview, Kawale expressed his unwavering commitment to the transformation of Dowa North East, emphasising his desire to leave a lasting legacy.
"Being an MP is just a calling because, as the son of a reverend, I must serve my people with diligence and total commitment, and Dowa North will never be the same. I am committed to doing my best to change not only Chibazi but even the whole of Dowa," said Kawale.
Kawale, who is the son of retired CCAP Reverend Dr. Kawale, continues to draw inspiration from his upbringing and remains dedicated to serving the community and making a lasting impact on the lives of his constituents.
