Diversity Academy Holds Quiz Competition to Prepare for National Contests
Last academic year, Diversity Academy participated in various competitions, including the Spelling Bee and ISAMA Big Brains.
CHIKWAWA, Malawi— Diversity Academy Primary School in Chikwawa District is organizing an in-house quiz competition to prepare students for upcoming national contests like the Spelling Bee, writes Moses Thole.
The competition, held across the school's three campuses, began Wednesday at the ADMARC Campus in Nchalo and continued Thursday at the Ngabu Campus. It will conclude on Friday at Thomu Campus.
Joseph Edgar Ntopa, the school's CEO, said the event aims to select top students to represent the school in national competitions.
"We are preparing our students to compete with other schools during forthcoming competitions," Ntopa said.
"Each campus is setting questions to ask our learners."
Ntopa added that the competition will help alert Standard 8 students who will sit for national exams next year.
Kelvin Malenga Chirwa, Thomu campus manager and competition organizer, expressed satisfaction with students' performance.
"I am happy with how the competition at the Ngabu campus has run. Learners can answer questions interestingly," Chirwa said.
Tamara Khuleya, a student at Ngabu campus, said she's ready to represent the school in different competitions but noted she should "put another gear in my studies."
