Deputy Minister of Health, Enock Phale, says it was high time for African governments started collaborating in order to resolve issues affecting the health sector and save lives.
Malawi: Deputy Minister of Health, Enock Phale, says it was high time African governments started collaborating in order to resolve issues affecting the health sector and save lives, writes Judgement Katika.
Phale made the remarks on Wednesday in Morocco, where he is attending the 1st African Health Harm Reduction Conference, saying that countries coming together to find workable solutions to emerging health issues is a significant step toward providing quality healthcare.
"The biggest challenge we face in Africa is health financing; we need to finance healthcare, which is what we are doing in Malawi," Phale explained.
Phale stated that as policyholders, it is now time to implement policies that will better save people.
The Moroccan government organised a conference that brought together delegates from all over Africa to discuss Health Harm Reduction.
