Dedza Dynamos Secure Services of Coach Andrew Bunya

DEDZA, Malawi- As teams prepare for the 2024 football season, Dedza Dynamos football club on Thursday unveiled Andrew Bunya as their new head coach, writes Happy Valirani.
Bunya, who coached the relegated Central region Super League team Extreme FC last season, has signed a two-year contract with the Dedza Super League club.
"I'm very happy to coach a team in my home area," said Bunya, who holds a CAF B coaching license.
"I know Dedza is a good team. Together we can improve on their seventh-place finish last season."
Technical director Massa Kalamula said Bunya's local roots and experience made him an ideal choice.
"Despite Extreme's relegation, we saw he is capable," Kalamula said.
"With his vast football experience, he will deliver."
Kalamula has set a target of a top-four finish and finals appearances for Bunya. "We will give him full support," he said.
Other teams have also hired new coaches, including promoted Baka City appointing Oscar Kaunda and Moyale Barracks bringing in Mafco FC’s Prichard Mwansa.
