Ezaius Mkandawire: We want more investment in the arts

Malawi: The Copyright Association of Malawi ( COSOMA), is requesting that the government assist in building a school for the arts in Lilongwe, writes Tionge Hara.

Ezaius Mkandawire, the Vice President of the Copyright Association of Malawi (COSOMA), states that the arts sector is a significant contributor to the country's GDP, with a contribution of 4.6 percent.

He also believes that investing in this sector will generate more opportunities for goods and services.

He also suggests that the government could provide the funds in phases.
