LILONGWE, MALAWI — Civil Service United secured a 2-1 victory over rivals Silver Strikers at Bingu National Stadium on Sunday, writes Happy Valirani.
Binwell Katinji and Luke Chima scored for Civil Service United, while Chimwemwe Idana scored for Silver Strikers.
Both teams were determined to claim three points, with Civil aiming to finish in the top 8 of the first round and Silver Strikers seeking to regain the top spot on the log table.
"We made sure that we should be the first ones on the ball, and that has played a very important role in this game," said Civil Service United coach Oscar Kaunda.
