Chitipa United Hires Kadzuwa to Lead Club Into 2024 Season
The club is hoping Kadzuwa can build on last season's success and help the team compete for the league title.
CHITIPA, Malawi- Chitipa United announced Friday the hiring of former Scorchers and Mzuni coach Mcnebert Kadzuwa as head coach for the 2024 season, writes Victor Musongole.
Kadzuwa replaces Macdonald Nginde Mtetemera, who departed after last season. Club general secretary Watson Mwaiseni Kabaghe confirmed the one-year contract and said Kadzuwa will be assisted by Elvis Kafoteka and Gift Nathaniel Mkamanga.
"We believe in this technical team and we hope these three will deliver for the forthcoming season," Kabaghe said.
Kafoteka, hired as vice coach, said he was delighted to join the team that performed well last season.
"I'm happy that I have received a warm welcome here from players, executive and supporters and I promise to work hard so that the team can do well," he said.
Last season, Chitipa United finished fourth in the league, scoring upsets against Blantyre giants Mighty Wanderers and Nyasa Big Bullets.
