Chewa Heritage ropes in Tay Grin as ambassador

Malawi: Chewa Heritage Foundation's Chewa cultural grouping has named hip hop legend Tay Grin as the group's ambassador for Mkumano wa Chewa, which will take place on June 25, 2022 at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.

The award-winning artist was unveiled in Blantyre on Thursday.

Senior Chief Sosola, the event's chairperson, stated that this is in preparation for the main cultural festival known as Kulamba in Zambia, which is scheduled for August 27, 2022, during which Chewa descendants pay homage to Kalonga Gawa Undi.

Tay Grin, real name Limbani Kalirani, combines hip hop and traditional flavours.
