Centenary Bank Launches Digital Insurance Platform
The bank aims to improve customer experience and meet evolving needs through the streamlined process.
LILONGWE, Malawi— Centenary Bank has launched a digital insurance platform offering customers convenient access to motor vehicle and funeral expense plans through its mobile app, CenteMobileMw, writes Moses Nyirenda.
The platform allows users to compare and select policies, pay premiums, and receive insurance discs, all within the app or at any Centenary Bank branch.
"Customers can now compare and select insurance policies tailored to their needs in real-time through the app," said James Msiska, the bank's Principal Bancassurance Officer.
"For motor insurance, you can compare quotes from five partners and choose the one that fits your budget."
Users can choose comprehensive or third-party coverage for private or commercial vehicles.
Funeral insurance allows coverage for family members, with users selecting the number of dependents and desired payout amount.
The bank aims to improve customer experience and meet evolving needs through the streamlined process.
"Customers can efficiently evaluate and purchase policies entirely through the app," Msiska said. Additionally, the bank seeks to reduce paper usage by offering digital insurance policies.
Customer Caroline Phiri praised the initiative, saying, "These digital insurance services will save customers in times of need."
