Centenary Bank Donates K2M to Pediatrics Trust
Pediatrics Trust was established in 2017 and conducts over 1,000 pediatric operations monthly at its Queen Elizabeth clinic.
BLANTYRE, Malawi— Centenary Bank has donated K2 million to Pediatrics Trust to support the organization's work providing pediatric treatment to children in need, writes Moses Nyirenda.
"Centenary Bank is honored to give support towards the Pediatric Trust, a cause that is close to our hearts and aligns with our commitment to supporting the well-being of our community's most vulnerable members especially our children," said Mayamiko Kalizang'oma, head of retail at Centenary Bank.
The bank's contribution will help Pediatrics Trust, which operates a clinic at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre, purchase medical supplies and medication.
"Our hospital provides surgical services for children and we operate children from all over Malawi among other pediatric treatments and our goal is to provide free services and we reach out to partners to help us," said Venancio Kapalamula, administrator for Pediatrics Trust.
Kalizang'oma said the support reflects Centenary Bank's corporate social responsibility values and commitment to improving lives through its financial solutions.
"We believe that every child deserves access to quality healthcare and support, and through our contribution to the Pediatrics Trust, we are taking a meaningful step towards ensuring that our vision becomes a reality," he said.
