Carotyte-Salima FC Eyes Victory in Nyasa Capital Finance Cup Clash with Silver Strikers Reserve

LILONGWE, Malawi- Carotyte-Salima FC is geared up to continue their impressive run in the Central Region 2023 Nyasa Capital Finance Cup as they gear up to face Silver Strikers Reserve at ADL Ground in Lilongwe this Thursday, writes Alinafe Nyanda.
Gorge Phiri, the head coach of Carotyte, anticipates a challenging encounter with Silver Strikers Reserve but remains resolute in their aim to secure a victory in Lumbadzi.
Phiri is determined to lead his team to the next round of the competition by taking an assertive approach rather than showing undue respect to the young bankers.
“Our objective is crystal clear – we aim for nothing less than a victory. Our focus is on the task at hand, and we are ready to face Silver Reserve in their home territory. We acknowledge the challenge, but we are well-prepared to tackle it head-on,” said Phiri.
In response, Silver Strikers Reserve's head coach, Macdonald Yobe, highlights the quality of their opponents and acknowledges that Carotyte is not to be underestimated.
Both teams have displayed strong performances in this year's competition, making it a clash to look forward to.
"They [Carotyte] have been exceptional; I've been following their progress closely. They possess a talented and motivated squad, which makes them formidable opponents. We respect their abilities, and we approach this match with confidence, fully aware that it won't be an easy task," noted Yobe.
On Thursday, the Nyasa Capital Finance Cup will witness other exciting fixtures. Blue Eagles' youth team will host Santhe Adamarc at Nakhaka, while Kamuzu Barracks Reserve will face Mitundu Baptist at KB. Mchinji Boma Stars will challenge Airborne Rangers at Gumbwa Ground, and Green Rangers will play host to Mbadzi at St John. Meanwhile, Wimbe United will entertain Simbi at Pamanda.
