Bullets will meet Civil service United in the round of 16 of the Castel Challenge Cup at Kamuzu stadium on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
Calisto Pasuwa, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets coach, was delighted with the victory.
"This is a game we wanted to win although we struggled with the players combination because we brought in some players who are not regular in our first eleven. We rested some because we need each player to be playing. The good thing is that we have progressed to the next round" said Pasuwa.
On his remarks, team manager of Soche Socials, Nelson Machilinga said his team doesn't have proper structures as other teams have.
He said they just mobilize themselves for the trainings, but he said the way his boys have performed against Bullets it is something to be proud of despite losing.
"It was a good game although we had some struggles along the way, but all in all it's part of the football one must win and one must lose. We are a team that we don't have any plan, we just organize ourselves to go to the trainings. But I believe that the team has potential if we can have proper planning like other teams, am assure you that we can produce a good team" said Machilinga.
The winner between FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Civil service United will join Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, Moyale Barracks, Silver Strikers, Chitipa United, Kamuzu Barracks, Ekwendeni Hammers and Bangwe All Stars who already booked their places in quarter- finals.
