Bullets snap winless streak with 3-0 victory over FOMO

BLANTYRE, Malawi— FCB Nyasa Big Bullets ended their five-game winless run in the TNM Super League with a convincing 3-0 victory over FOMO FC at Kamuzu Stadium on Wednesday, writes Happy Valirani.
Despite FOMO's early dominance in possession, Bullets capitalized on defensive lapses to secure the win. Maxwell Gasten Phodo opened the scoring in the 15th minute, followed by Babatunde Adepoju's goal at the 39-minute mark.
Stanley Biliat sealed the victory in the 73rd minute, connecting with Gomezgani Chirwa's cross.
Bullets' head coach Calisto Pasuwa expressed relief at the result. "I don't care whether we haven't played well, but we have got the three points," Pasuwa said. "At least it can motivate the house in terms of scoring."
FOMO FC head coach Gilbert Chirwa acknowledged his team's defensive shortcomings.
"We played well, but I think there was poor marking on our part," Chirwa said. He remains optimistic about his rebuilding team, hinting at potential squad reinforcements during the second-round transfer window.
In other midweek Super League action, MAFCO FC defeated Karonga United 2-0, while Civil Service United edged Creck Sporting Club 2-1.
