Big Bullets, Wanderers Share Spoils in Blantyre Derby Draw

BLANTYRE, Malawi — FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers settled for a 1-1 draw in a pulsating Blantyre derby on Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium, writes Happy Valirani.
Isaac Kaliati put Wanderers ahead in the first half, but Patrick Mwaungulu equalized for Bullets after the break.
"We created many chances and we could have scored more than one goal to win the game. But in the second half we did not play well compared to the way we played in the first half," said Meke Mwase, assistant coach for Wanderers.

Bullets coach Calisto Pasuwa said his side was sluggish in the opening period.
"We did not start well in the first half unlike in the second, we were second on the ball," Pasuwa said.
"But in the second half we came very offensive that's why we managed to get an equalizer."
