Award-Winning Author to Launch Indigenous and Children's Books in June
Moalosi expressed gratitude to the Francistown International Book Festival team, as it made her debut works known globally.
FRANCISTOWN, Botswana — Mrs. Lorato Moalosi, an international award-winning author, is excited to launch her writing works in Francistown on June 22, 2024, writes Paula Otukile.
Moalosi, the author of note, encourages youth to speak their mother tongue more and write it fluently, saying that will help in learning other languages.
One cannot expect to excel in a foreign language before they can master their own language.
A teacher at Nyangabwe Primary School, Moalosi continues to write and embark on anti-bullying campaigns through literacy.
She is currently working on her children's book named "Moemedi The Bully Beater!" which will also launch on the same day in Francistown.
Lorato loves kids. Her love for children is the reason she wrote these books. She is grateful to the readers for the positive feedback after reading her rags-to-riches stories on the "Letlharapana la modisa!" Book.
Moalosi expressed gratitude to the Francistown International Book Festival team, as it made her debut works known globally.
She networked at the festival and is now a nominee for the much-anticipated Shining Star Africa Awards 2024 to be held in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Lorato says she shall continue to write as it is her passion but encourages upcoming authors to network and associate with relevant people in the literature spheres in order to thrive.
She says the sky is the limit on her writing journey.
