Malawi-Salima-based Amboya F.C. is seeking sponsorship and partnership from individuals and stakeholders in order to cement its position in the Chipiku Central Region Premier League and potentially gain promotion to the TNM Super League, writes Alinafe Nyanda.

Confirming the news on Sunday, the club's chairperson, Haswell Sakala stated, "We believe as a management team we have a task ahead of us to make sure the team is stable and continues producing positive results in all competitions, hence, looking for SOS."

Sakala urged the soccer fraternity, companies, and individuals to consider their plea for the sake of football development in Salima and the country at large.

Willy 'Immigration' Chabwinja, a former Flames and Civo United player and current football analyst, also called on the corporate world to support the club's plea. He stated, "A lot of teams in the country die slowly due to a lack of financial muscle."

In the 2022–23 Chipiku Central Region Association Unayo Division One league, Amboya F.C finished third in its debut season and gained promotion to the premier league.
