According to Kamoto, Airtel Malawi Plc is committed to providing support to those in need during this difficult time.
In addition to the donation, Airtel Malawi Plc will provide five free talk time minutes per day for two days (totalling 10 minutes per person) to its subscribers in the affected areas.
Airtel used data from DODMA to map the affected areas to their sites, and subscribers using those sites will receive the free minutes.
The targeted customers will receive notifications via SMS.

Kanongodza explained that part of the donation will be used to purchase food, which will be delivered to selected camps.
He further added that the K100 million in free talking time will ease communication by restoring family links for the affected population.
