GRI Certification Offers Affordable Path to Sustainability Expertise, Training Firm Says
The initiative aims to broaden access to sustainability reporting expertise across Africa and beyond.
NAIROBI, Kenya— Impact Africa Consulting Limited has launched a discounted Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Certification Program to make sustainability training more accessible, the firm announced Monday, writes Winston Mwale.
Students can now enroll in the internationally recognized online course for €300, reduced from €500, while professionals will pay €400.
The initiative aims to broaden access to sustainability reporting expertise across Africa and beyond.
"Sustainability reporting is no longer a niche practice but a critical component of corporate strategy and accountability," said Dr. Edward Mungai, Impact Africa's lead trainer.
The GRI Standards, considered the leading framework for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting, enable organizations to disclose sustainability impacts effectively.
The certification provides significant career advantages in corporate sustainability, ESG consulting, and regulatory compliance.
Batuli Majid, a certified GRI trainer, noted that "sustainability reporting expertise is increasingly sought after by businesses, investors, and regulatory bodies."
Impact Africa, ranked fourth globally among GRI trainers in 2024, offers participants additional benefits including five mock exams, expert instruction, and access to a network of over 200 alumni.
