All Set for NRFA Top Four Bonanza and Prize Presentation in Rumphi
Champions Songwe Border United will receive K12 million, Jenda United K5 million, and Chintheche United K2.5 million.
RUMPHI, Malawi— The Northern Region Football Association will hold its Top Four Bonanza and Prize Presentation for the past season this weekend in Rumphi, writes Victor Musongole.
The events are scheduled for Sunday, with the Top Four Bonanza taking place at Rumphi Stadium, followed by a prize presentation at Sameda Lodge Hall.
"I can confirm that we are set for both Top Four bonanza and the league's prize presentation this Sunday," said NRFA General Secretary Lupakisho Simwera.
"To accommodate the sponsors, there has been a slight change from Saturday to Sunday."
The bonanza will feature champions Songwe Border United against fourth-placed Chilumba Barracks, while second-placed Jenda United will face third-placed Chintheche United. Winners will advance to the finals, with losers competing for third place.
Songwe Border United General Secretary Palisha Swira said the tournament will help assess team preparation.
"This bonanza will give our technical team to work on coordination," Swira said. "We believe it will be a good test for us."
Since the bonanza's inception in 2018, only Chitipa United has won both the league and the Top Four Bonanza simultaneously.
Champions Songwe Border United will receive K12 million, Jenda United K5 million, and Chintheche United K2.5 million.
Individual awards for Top Goal Scorer and Media will also be presented.
